Un fin de semana largo aquí en España!

During this weekend I've done a lot of things: on Thursday we went to have dinner at Aitana's parents' friends' house it is a family: the mother is from Peru and the father is Dutch. She cooked typical Peruvian and Mexican food and her husband made the greatest guacamole I've ever eaten in my life. It has been a lovely night and the food was so good for sure!

Then, the next day in the afternoon we went to see Taylor Swift's movie. The film shows a concert of one of her dates on the tour she is doing. It was amazing and the room sang along to all the songs and it felt like I was actually in the concert. Needless to say at the end of the movie, I had no voice and I currently don't have it. After the film, we went to eat at the shopping centre with some friends.

On Saturday, I went to Granada with Aitana's family. I loved the city so much: I loved how you can see two cultures really different from one another just "living" in the same place. I found it very characteristic and historical. We saw the Alhambra, unfortunately, there weren't any tickets so we couldn't go inside, but it was breathtaking just seeing it from afar.
But the funny things are finished and on Sunday we get back to reality and do the homework for the week. I loved this "long weekend", I had so much fun 😁

  En la clase de patrimonio cultural y artístico Andalucia cuando el profesor faltaba, claramente ;) It's almost two weeks of school now and I've noticed a lot of differences. Apart from the building, which is much bigger and more modern than Tesauro, how everything works is very different. The first biggest difference, for me, is the relationship between the teacher and the student: here, it is almost like a friendship, the professors are like a friend you can talk to, while in Italy we keep the relationship very "professional", also marked by the fact that we need to call them by their surnames. Then, in Italy, there's a sort of "dress code": it's very rare to see girls wearing shorts when it gets hotter, while here they can put on everything they want. ¿Y que pasa con la escuela?

Aquí tienes un ejemplo de las pinturas en los pasillos. personalmente me encantan y es una buena idea. Desde el primer día los he visto y los miro siempre I've realised I still need to talk about the school specifically... Like I said previously, I love the relationship students have with their teachers. Still, I also like two other aspects I noticed during my classes: the first one is that teachers give students a lot of projects like videos, researches, presentations, podcasts or just make exercises in class that they will have to hand over to the teacher so they give them a mark; of course, they do written tests too but adopting these methods can lighten the stress for written tests and make it more interesting and different for students. Then I really appreciate how teachers are sort of "divided" into departments and, for example, the Maths department organises a trip related to the subject or to see cultural historical things. Tantos cumpleaños...

  Celebrando el cumpleaños de Aitana con sus amigos y sus padres.  This weekend has been full of birthdays! On the 7th of October was Aitana's mother's birthday: in the morning we went to her hometown to have breakfast with some of her relatives and I tried churros, even though I'm not a fan of fried food, they were good. Then, the same evening, we celebrated Aitana's birthday: she invited over some friends and we ate pizza all together. She opened the presents and she was so happy. Then we went to a disco where we danced and sang all together. While on Sunday, we went to the countryside to have lunch with other relatives. It has been a lovely weekend. Happy birthday to the best host sister I could ever ask💜
